Shipping costs

What you pay carriers to ship orders.

How it is calculated

• The actual label cost is used when a shipping or fulfillment provider reports it. Otherwise your shipping rules estimate it.
• Orders that were cancelled before shipping, and orders with nothing to ship, carry no shipping cost.
• A 3PL rate card's fuel surcharge is added to rule-based estimates.

Reading it

• Format: Amount in your reporting currency.
• Lower is better (an increase is shown in red).

Where it appears

• Overview and Dashboards — add it from the metric picker (Costs group).
• Custom metrics — use the variable shipping_cost in a formula. See custom metrics.
